Suburban women will pivotal in Joe Biden’s Presidential victory in 2024.
Suburban women were pivotal in Joe Biden’s Presidential victory in 2020. But 2024 could be different. While Biden maintains a lead among women nationally, his advantage diminishes among suburban women, particularly in key swing states like Michigan. He needs this critical voting bloc to come back to him as he struggles in polls.

Suburban women were pivotal in Joe Biden's presidential victory in 2020.
But 2024 could be different.
While Biden maintains a lead among women nationally, his advantage diminishes among suburban women, particularly in key swing states.
He needs this critical voting bloc to come back to him as he struggles in the polls.
Hadley, can he do it?
Can he hang on to suburban women?
I'm just I can't believe he wouldn't.
Since the Dobbs decision and it has been such a driving force in all of these special elections, this presidential election is one where I'm afraid many Americans are simply not excited about the candidates.
And that's going to be a big problem, whether you're talking about suburban women voters or any other voting bloc.
And I will say suburban women voters are not necessarily one monolithic voting bloc, but certainly many of them care about abortion policy.
Many of them are also looking at what's happening in our economy.
They're looking at inflation.
They think they're wondering if a different direction would be better in terms of their financial futures, their pocketbooks.
And they're feeling some tension there.
So I don't know.
I think the problem is that these candidates simply are off putting and unexciting to a lot of voters.
Look, I think that President Biden has an opportunity.
I mean, there's still a number of months left.
The economy is actually recovering.
And in a strong way.
I mean, the economic indicators are like off the charts.
And I think the president has to lean into this.
I think this divide around immigration and a pathway there I think has been created for President Biden and then abortion politics.
And so all of these things, I think, drive up suburban women voters.
But mostly it's going to be about who can turn out their vote.
And so the president and Democrats have a real challenge just getting the vote out.
Well, in my years as a party chair, Donna couldn't have said it better.
Republicans religiously vote Democrats.
You have to like knock on the door, open the door, pull them out of bed and take them to the polls.
So I think get out the vote is going to be essential.
But do not underestimate the power of this abortion issue at all.
But, Sam, if I may, that used to be true.
But they're saying that the abortion issue and of course, President Biden, at least in terms of his policies, is very pro-choice, that that this issue has changed things around and certainly evident in this special election.
Well, my thoughts are that I don't think I believe polls anymore.
The Suozzi race in New York, they showed it very, very close, and then he wins by 54%.
So I think once the voters are presented with the choice between Joe Biden and Donald Trump, the suburban women are going to be as turned off to Donald Trump as they were in the past.
And that will be even more so this time because of abortion, because of the E. Jean Carroll case and perhaps of more trials or and possibly even a conviction.
All right.
Thank you all so much.
