This Week at Lincoln Center: The New York Philharmonic Spring Gala on May 19.
On May 19th at Avery Fisher Hall, the New York Philharmonic will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Concerts in the Parks. Under the baton of Alan Gilbert, the repertoire for the Spring Gala concert will include Tchaikovsky, Beethoven and Copland. The Gala event will honor New York Philharmonic Chairman Oscar Schafer and his wife, Didi, and will raise funds for future outdoor performances.
