We are- Thank you.
We are the Ridge Hill Bluegrass Band.
Based out of the Fort Mill, Rock Hill area and around Lancaster County as well.
And we're tickled to be here on the Bluegrass Express on the South Carolina Educational TV network.
And we're glad that you're here tonight as well.
We are a fast picking bluegrass, lot of temp, up tempo and high energy and a lot of drive.
And we do incorporate a few slow songs as well.
We hope there's some things that we'll do tonight that you will like and enjoy.
But before we get going, we, we don't do a lot of talking, but we wanted to go ahead and introduce everybody, and I'd like to do that now if we could.
Over on the flat top guitar, who not only strums away but also picks away.
A good flat picking guitar player, he's the leader of the group.
He's the founding member of Ridge Hill Bluegrass and he's from Fort Mill.
Like for you to make him welcome Mr. Joey Moore.
(applause) Joey> He's tired of talking, now it's my turn.
The gentleman on my far right over there playing the dobro from Lancaster, South Carolina, Mr. Randy Hudson.
(applause) The one doing the speaking, playing the mandolin, singing high tenor and high lead from Rock Hill, South Carolina, Mr. Steve Whitesell.
(applause) The gentlemen, doing the fine job on the five string, singing baritone and some lead is Mr. Dion King from Sharon, South Carolina.
(applause) And the quiet fella behind me playing dog house bass from Lancaster, South Carolina, Mr. Gary Neil.
(applause) And we're going to do a little bit more picking.
Like I said, it won't be a whole bunch of talking but we'll do some picking.
