Episode: Mount Rogers
The Blue Ridge, a part of the Appalachian Mountains which extend from Canada to Alabama, were once much taller than they are now, perhaps taller than the Himalayan Mountains are today. However, over millions of years, they have eroded away and now appear as rounded peaks not much more than 3,400 feet above sea level.
